Empathy Exercise 1

EMPATHY

It is the capacity to understand the other people’s mind or emotion. It’s ‘to put oneself in another’s shoes’ Think that a man is talking about his father’s death. At first, he begins his speech with a soft tone. He remembers his memories and love for his father. Then he starts to cry because he remembers his grief
for his father’s death. If you have empathy,you will understand both of his thoughts. You say ‘I feel your pain and I also feel your love for your father. Empathy involves the actions below:
1. Understanding
2. Being aware of
3. Being sensitive to
4. Experiencing the feelings mentally
Empathy solves most of your problems about interpersonal relationship. It brings you a new point of view. Seeing both sides of the madal makes you alert and thankful.
