Neither / So

Söylenen sözlere katıldığımızı ya da diğer insanlar içinde geçerli olduğunu anlatmak için yardımcı fiiller ve katılan kişinin ismiyle birlikte kullanılan ifadelerdir. Bahsedilen eylemin kurulduğu yapı ya da zaman hangisi ise onun yardımcı fiilleri kullanılır. Değişen öznelerin yardımcı fiillerinin de değişmesi gerektiğine dikkat ediniz.
Ex:
– My sister is having a good time. (my brothers)
– So, are my brothers.
N.B: Eğer katılınan cümle olumluysa ‘so'; olumsuzsa ‘ neither ‘ kullanılır.
– So, H. V. S
Neither, (am,do,does) (Ayse, Murat, He)
Examples:
1. A: My brother likes heavy metal. (I)
B: So, do I.
2 A: My parents used to live in Adana.(Sema)
B: So, did Sema.
3. A: You don't have to pay the bills. (Mr.Özmen)
B: Neither, does Mr. Özmen.
4. A: The children are playing basketball.(Ahmet)
B: So, is Ahmet.
5. A: The doctors didn't work at night. (the nurses)
B: Neither did the nurses.

B: Neither have I.
